Muza's (they/them) work is interdisciplinary, rooted in somatic practice and explored with themes of ritual, mythology, transformation, desire, and the erotic to raise consciousness around issues of gender identity, sexuality, sex worker rights, and environmentalism. They are a trans-nonbinary, genderfluid, queer, multiethnic, Latinx sex worker who synthesizes these aspects of identity within a basis of somatic practice into performance. Melody/Muza graduated from the MA Performance Program at the Norwegian Theater Academy in 2024. Their research investigates interdisciplinary performance methodologies, how to apply them in service to the sex work community, considering manners to amplify work directly from sex workers, and creating various multimedia and live performances which synthesize these themes. Recipient of Work Grant for Emerging Artists, Norwegian Directorate of Culture 2025.
