Anna Piotrowska

Anna Piotrowska, polish choreographer, director, dance teacher, and performer, as well as the founder and president of the eferte_Dance Development Foundation (www.eferte.pl) in Warsaw.
Piotrowska is the founder and director of "mufmi" in Warsaw. (www.mufmi.pl) Received diploma of professional dancer, granted by Polish Actors Association. She received her Masters degree in management in 2002.

In 2004 Anna Piotrowska, was recognized by the British Council Awards and received a scholarship as a "Young Polish Arts Entrepreneur". Twice was awarded distinctions in Budapest at the International SoloDuo Dance Festival (2005/2006).
Anna Piotrowska has made over 60 works since 1995. She is actively involved in the artistic community of Poland and organizes local and international projects such the Polsih Dance Festival PolemiQi in Warsaw (8 editions), the Polish edition of the International Dance Festival "SoloDuo Dance Festival / Budapest" (5 editions), "space attack" - workshops in the streets of Warsaw and site specific work, "direction.(Europa_Warsaw).dance", "British.4.Polish Dance", laboratory of choreography, summer workshops, and the Short Film Festival in Warsaw (10 editions).
Anna Piotrowska was invited by Silesian Dance Theatre as the artist to the international programme APAP VI (advancing performing arts project) making the performance "Look_4_faces". She worked in 2008 on new performances on various artists among others on dancers of Polish Dance Theatre ("6 / 9" , "farfalla"), former dancer of Silesian Dance Theatre ("CoCo_Klimt") and former-retired dancers of Great Theatre in Warsaw ("papa papu") and on the production of "mufmi" "God of 8 Day".
Piotrowska was invited as the choreographer for two productions in the programme "Dance Bridge 2010" organized by Silesian Dance Theatre (PL) and Samovarteateret (NO). The premiere "Laka la Mnija in the process of half of sth" was held in Bytom (28.06.2010) and in September 2010 in Kirkenes in Norway.

The last project was the duet "Cold Fish" for Nikolay Shchetnev and Anna Piotrowska titled.
The last mufmi performance "fall(ing) ceil(ing)" was classified to the Polish Dance Platform 2010 www.polskaplatformatanca.pl
Nowadays she is involved in the platform danceme.org and will perform in Milano in May 2011. In February will perform at the Barents Spektakel Festival 2011 in Kirkenes and at the Solo Duo Dance Festival will prepare the extra duet with Marta Ladjansky.
