Join us for an immersive experience created by Irina Komissarova, a Moscow-born, Europe-based scenographer with over 10 years of experience in theatre. Irina’s innovative work explores sensory memory through imaginary scenography, creating an expanded form of radio theatre built directly into the audience's imagination. This final research project invites you to explore the boundaries of life and death through a two-part performance that challenges and liberates.

Part 1 (Friday): Enter the mysterious and haunting forest of Fredrikstad. Here, live music, lights and performative magic create an atmosphere of terror and liberation. Embrace the site-specific magic of (de)manifestation, where you will encounter moments that provoke thought

and stir the soul. This is an invitation to lose yourself in the raw, visceral experience of a world teetering on the edge of reality.

Part 2 (Saturday): The journey continues the next day in the Black Box, where you will build the actual set by immersing yourself in the world of imagination. Witness the story unfold as the protagonist ventures into the forest to meet a mythical beast, confronting the delicate balance between life and death. This performance will force you to question existence and regain control of your destiny.

Irina Komissarova, MA in Scenography at the Norwegian Theatre Academy, invites you to her final research project, (de)manifestation. This production is part of §112 Fredrikstad. §112 Fredrikstad is a new art festival, which over four months will explore whether we are good ancestors. The backdrop is the Norwegian constitution's environmental paragraph, and through cultural experiences, conversations, public meetings and debate, §112 will present questions regarding climate issues to the public in a new way.
