At the webpage of Ferske Scener the following, among other things, is written about Come Closer My Friend:

"Come Closer My Friend brings you to the cemetery, the grocery store and the space. Two narrators share their thoughts about death, life as a couple, chaotic daily lives, belonging and loneliness. Maybe it is as important to find the right friend as to find the right boyfriend or girlfriend?

How close can one get to another person, when does one reach the limit, when does one get to the other's 'inner gate'? In Come Closer My Friend, the polyphonic is used as an approach and a method. The dynamic between the two narrators, who talk to one another, and past one another, is central.

The reading marks the end of a year-long collaboration between the writers and Ferske Scener/Scenetekstivalen.

After the reading, the writers and dramaturge Kristin Bjørn discuss experiences they have made along the way, in the meeting between the field of written literature and the field of performing arts. What does it add to the text that it has not been written in loneliness, but in a jolly mix of impulses and ideas, from the outside and the inside?"
