More

The Cat and the Pig by Teater Visuell is about a pig and a cat. The pig, whose name is Nossum, lives in a bus. Nossum is a friendly, messy pig hailing from the Trøndelag counties. He enjoys deciding, inventing and collecting stuff. The Swedish cat Kattarina arrives where Nossum lives. She moves in and becomes annoyed with the mess in the bus, while Nossum becomes annoyed with the cleaning of Kattarina. They split the bus in each their part. And then they begin visiting each other – until the differences are really not that remarkable. Life consists, as we know, of creativity and order both.

Teater Visuell uses small puppets and Annika Udo is alone onstage, playing both the pig and the cat. The Cat and the Pig opened in 2006.

The Cat and the Pig by Teater Visuell was supported by the municipality of Trondheim, the county of Sør-Trøndelag, The Audio Visual Fund, The Fund for Performing Artists, Arts Council Norway and The Cultural Rucksack/department for kindergartens.
