At the website of The National Theatre the following, among other things, is written about The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear:

"Best friends Mitcho and Sebastian lead a peaceful life in the small town called Sunnytown. There is only one thing troubling their otherwise harmonic daily life: The competent mayor of Sunnytown, Jeronimus B., has disappeared, and his second in command, Qvist, has taken his place.

But then a bottled letter shows up, written for Mitcho and Sebastian. The letter is from the disappeared mayor, and inside it is a seed. The seed grows into a giant pear, bringing the two friends into a fast-paced, magical adventure.

The book for children called The Incredibly Story of the Giant Pear by writer and illustrator Jakob Martin Strid became an immediate success when it was published in 2011. The book is beloved by children and adults, and the spring of 2018 the imaginative, luscious universe were adapted for the cinema screens."
