The characters the audience met onstage in under real by Goro Tronsmo was created on basis of the actors’ private appearance and psychology, interpreted in the image of Tronsmo. The language spoken onstage was a mix of Swedish, Norwegian, German, French, fake Icelandic and English. Hence the language appeared more as a sound continuum than logically understandable speech.

The project was supported by Arts Council Norway.

Press coverage

"Tronsmo long has worked site-specific like this, but in my experience, here she has drawn her ideas as far as they should have to work well. Perhaps is it because she does no longer use words to the degree she has done earlier, in under real the small situations, movements and sounds are what takes the work further. It is remarkable how well the composition between these parts work. Both rhythmically, visually and auditory, however, here it stops as sudden as it started – and it seems totally right."
