Halmstrået eller Teatersjefen som ble vekk* (The Straw or The disappeared head of the theatre)

Halmstrået eller Teatersjefen som ble vekk* (The Straw or The disappeared head of the theatre) (1940) was a theatre production by Centralteatret, the world premiere of a play by Finn Bø. This was a satire based on Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt.

Finn Bø directed it.

The production was performed for sold-out houses. In August 1940, the theatre was ordered to play a matinee for some Germans. After this, the production was censored, and the text for the performance was cut significantly. The audiences were not as eager after this, but the production was still performed until October 23, 1940.
