More

At the website of The National Stage the following, among other things, is written about Cinderella:

"Once upon a time there was a kind and brave girl, an exceedingly mean stepfamily, an enchanting fairy, a ruggedly handsome prince and many helpful birds and mice. Once upon a time there was a lonely girl who was invited to a ball at the castle - a place where dreams may become true.

The fairytale about Cinderella is one of our dearest cultural treasures, and it exists in many varieties.

The story of the girl who, after her mother's death, is harassed by her new family, before she, due to a strike of magic, hard work and good helpers, achieves the life she deserves, touches the hearts of both children and adults. In this autumn's grand-scale production for families, we start with the fairytale by the brothers Grimm. It will be a grandiose, visual experience with a good dose of humour and many moving moments. Cinderella's journey from the ashes to a royal wedding will be accompanied by newly composed music, and we promise that the performance will be a light in the dark of autumn."
