Ballerina
Ballerina (2017) is an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. Ballerina is based on an opera with music by Synne Skouen and libretto by Oda Radoor, in turn based on Arne Skouen's play Ballerina. The world premiere takes place during The Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival 2017, in The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet's Second House.
Hilde Andersen directs it.
Hege Høisæter sings the role of Edith, and Silje Marie Aker Johnsen sings the role of Malin.

Synne Skouen's new chamber opera is based on her father Arne Skouen's play by the same name from 1976. It has been re-written to an opera libretto by Oda Radoor. Malin's interior life is set to music in this powerful drama of a family in crisis."
