The Night Bell

The Night Bell (1970) was an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera. The Night Bell was based on an opera in one act by Gaetano DonizettiIl campanello di nottewhose libretto was based on Léon Levy Brunswick, Mathieu-Barthélmy Troin and Victor Lhérie’s vaudeville La sonnette de nuit. The production was performed on The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret.

The director was Vladimir Smid.

The Night Bell was performed together with Pietro Mascagni’s opera in one act Cavalleria Rusticana.
