Cavalleria rusticana

Cavalleria rusticana (1970) was an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera. Cavalleria rusticana was based on the one-act opera of the same title by Pietro Mascagni (music) and Giovanni Targioni-Tozzetti and Guido Menasci (libretto). The production was performed on The Norwegian National Opera’s main stage in Folketeateret.

The director was Vladimir Smid.

Cavalleria rusticana was performed together with Gaetano Donizetti’s one-act opera The Night Bell.
