The Defeat (1950) was a theatre production by The National Stage, based on the play by Nordahl Grieg. The production was performed at the theatre's main stage.

Hans Stormoen directed it.

The production was one of several to mark the 100-year anniversary for the foundation of Det Norske Theater (literally: The Norwegian Theatre), the predecessor for The National Stage.
