Jan Herwitz

Jan Herwitz (1933) was a theatre production by The National Stage, based on a comedy by Hans Wiers-Jenssen. The opening performance was that year's May 17 gala, and the production continued its run in September.

Karl Bergmann directed it.

Leif Larsen played the title role.

Karl Bergmann played the role of Bøschen. November 10, 1935, he celebrated his 35th anniversary as an actor with the role.

Jan Herwitz was revived in 1937, when four performances were given, for schools and as a May 17 gala.

Jan Herwitz was revived again in 1940, performed in Ole Bull Teatret, as The National Stage's auditorium and vestibule had been harmed in an air attack. During this season, twelve performances were given. Five were performed in 1941.

In 1940, Hans Stormoen played the title role.

Karl Bergmann celebrated his 40th anniversary as an actor March 8, 1941, with the role of Bøschen.
