I Pagliacci

I Pagliacci (1964) was an opera production by The Norwegian National Opera. I Pagliacci was based on the opera in one act of the same title by Ruggiero Leoncavallo. The production was performed by The Norwegian National Opera in Folketeateret.

The director was Einar Beyron.

Bjarne Buntz and Lázaro Calderón performed the role of Canio (I Pagliacci).

Kari Frisell and Christina Gorne performed the role of Nedda (Colombine).

I Pagliacci was performed together with Pietro Mascagni’s opera in one act Cavalleria Rusticana.
