The Little Viking was Grenland Friteater’s first puppetry performance. The Little Viking had found inspiration in the Northern mythology. The story was newly written, but the audience would recognise characters and creatures from the old myths.

Here were gods, monsters and giants in a story about the play becoming a saga in itself.

What do you do when you are abducted by a dragon? Is placed on a giant’s dinner plate? Or when a little girl sits atop a tree, captured by a terrible wolf? The Little Viking was a tale in which not all went according to plan.
