In Deep Water by Gorgon Productions moves between and across of three perspectives, inspired by Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and his statement about the three main lines of Northern area policy: Activity, presence and knowledge.
More people have set foot on the moon than the bottom of the ocean. August 2 2007 the Russians planted their flag on the ocean floor and the race was on. From a diving tower with swim fins and inflatable swim arm bands the performers threw themselves into deep water. Where Nansen and Johansen turned around, Hestad and Slaatto take their audience towards the North Pole, under the ice, to the seabed, for finally to plant the Norwegian flag.
Jonas Gahr Støre takes part through a film especially made for In Deep Water.
