Les Misérables

Les Misérables (1988) was a musical theatre production by The Norwegian Theatre. Les Misérables was the Norwegian premiere of the musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, after the novel by Victor Hugo. The production was staged at the theatre's main stage.

The Norwegian production was directed by Dion McHugh and Ken Caswell, assisted by Martin Nordal. Les Misérables is a licensed musical, and the London direction, by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, was used as a model.

Øystein Wiik played the role of Jean Valjean.

Paul Åge Johannessen played the role of Javert.
