Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler on the Roof (1968) was a musical theatre production by The Norwegian Theatre, based on the musical by Joseph Stein (book), Sheldon Harnick (lyrics) and Jerry Bock (music), after the short stories by Sholem Aleichem. The production was staged at the facilities the theatre used at the time, in Stortingsgaten.

American Tom Abbott directed and choreographed it.

Lasse Kolstad played the role of Tevye. He received Norwegian Critics' Award for theatre for his interpretation the role.

Sølvi Wang played the role of Golde.

The production also went on tour, produced by The Norwegian Touring Theatre.
