The Price

The Price (1968) was a theatre production by The National Theatre, the Norwegian premiere of the play by Arthur Miller. The production was performed at the theatre's main stage.

Knut Hergel directed it. The Price became his last assignment as a director at The National Theatre.

Stein Grieg Halvorsen played the role of Gregory Solomon. He was awarded with Norwegian Critics' Award for his interpretation of the role.

Stage designer Christian Stenersen also had his last assignment at The National Theatre with the stage design for The Price. He had been steadily employed as a theatre painter and stage designer at The National Theatre since 1935.

The production of The Price went on tour with The Norwegian Touring Theatre. It was also performed as a visiting performance in Stavanger.
