My name is Janez Janša is a documentary film by three artists all named Janez Janša. Formerly their names were Emil Hrvatin, Davide Grassi and Žiga Kariž. The latter took his own name back in 2012.
Janez Janša (formerly Emil Hrvatin) directed it.
The name also belongs to the Slovenian politician Janez Janša, the direct reason the artists chose just this name to change theirs into in 2007. At the same time they became members of the party led by Janez Janša, the conservative Slovenian party SDS.
The film was screened at Black Box Teater during Oslo International Theatre Festival 2013.
The original Janez Janša was the prime minister of Slovenia in 2004-2008, and again in 2012-2013.

"In 2007, three artists joined the conservative Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) and officially changed their names to that of the leader of the party, the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša. While they renamed themselves for personal reasons, the boundaries between their lives and their art began to merge (SIC) in numerous and unforeseen ways. The project provoked a broad spectrum of interpretations in art circles both in Slovenia and abroad."
The film production was supported by Slovenian Film Centre and Viba Film, Ljubljana.
