More

According to the newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad the play was written on commission from Rogaland Theatre and Stavanger 2000, having asked Fosse to write inspired by the Ten Commandments.

"The sixth is the central one when Winter is staged at the intimate stage", the newspaper wrote.

The sixth commandment goes: "Thou shalt not commit adultery".

- It is about two persons from two very different environments. Their meeting and relationship describe how the small coincidences of life can have great consequences, for us and others. Some people call it fate, Marit Grønhaug said to Stavanger Aftenblad before the opening.
