"The Little Prince is to me a story about the power of imagination, about the outlook of the child and the folly of the adults. It is about friendship and what is important in life. It is about being able to see others; to empathise... It is by spending time on others one develops one's heart!
The little prince sees the world with fresh eyes. In the meetings he has during his journey he reveals how life is quickly devoured by trivialities. Everyone he meets is a lonely centre of a globe of its own. He reveals the emptiness in existence built on material goods. He reveals the falsity of the adults' measure for happiness and meaning.
The story starts in the desert. The desert is an open landscape where everything may happen. For the pilot the meeting with the prince in the desert becomes a turning point. In the desert the pilot rediscovers himself - and the prince is a helper in this discovery. Here is where he becomes aware that the kingdom of humans rests in its interior; the important is invisible to the eye."
