Neighbourhood
Neighbourhood (2012) is a production by Dansearena Nord, JoJo Oulu Dance Centre and Dans i Nord. Neighbourhood consists of two choreographies called Svensson and Eana.
These two choreographies both revolve around the thrill and tension of meeting new people in the neighbourhood.
Svensson:
Choreographer Ida Wigdel examines how being excluded might affect people.
Eana
Eana is a Sami term, meaning terrain. Choreographer Ingun Bjørnsgaard wants to examine what is buried and concealed within ourselves.
The Finnish poem Jäähyväiset vaimolleni is written by Pekka Parkkinen.

Neighbourhood is also performed as a school performance. The dancers hold a number of dance workshops for youth in the towns visited during the tour.
