"The French poet and theatre worker Antonin Artaud wrote the piece in 1947 on commission from French radio, as a contribution to the program series Voix de Poètes (literally: The voice of the poet). The day prior to the broadcast the program was cancelled because the piece was 'blasphemous and vulgar'. [...] Through continuously breaking taboos it seeks the endless, what is between the body and the words, where the human beings are related to animals."
