Das Schiff by NIE: The old ship laid at anchor directly below the Nibelungen Bridge in Linz. The paddlewheels were standing still, the chimney did not give off any clouds of smoke and usually there were no passengers on the deck. But if you approached close enough, you could hear it creaking, grating and grinding. They were still alive on the MS Schönbrunn, all the old stories of passengers, sailors, empresses and captains. Hidden in the corners of the cabins, engine rooms and in the ship's galley.

Pupils from Austria (Linz), Norway (Asker) and Switzerland (Zürich) had taken pencil and paper and written down their most thrilling, touching and fantastic ship adventures. The international theatre ensembles Sgaramusch and NIE staged some selected stories on the Schönbrunn.
