[BeHerGhost]
[BeHerGhost] (2003) is a production by Monica Emilie Herstad and her company herStay.
With this production herStay wants to say something about the necessary process the individual is facing when creating his or her identity, how to define it and practice it in our complex society.
[BeHerGhost] opened in 2003 during the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFIT, at Norwegian University of Science and Technology) and it was performed at Avant Garden.
The company herStay says the following about [BeHerGhost] by Monica Emilie Herstad:
"A subtle play on reincarnation, that researches the option of the revelation of yourself, described through different artistic expressions, canonised in plural contingencies.
Several variations of the play diffuses into 'reality', and in the most obscure manner it effects the scene of the bureaucratic society
The complex variations and consequences of this play is still to be unveiled, to the excitement of the viewers, busy tracking the play.
The art project [BeMyGhost] is still in an ongoing herStay process.
Monica Emilie Herstad's movie and thinking on the project [BeMyGhost] has a rich set of cultural references."

"Monica Emilie Herstad has initiated, created and produced the art project ww.withorwithout.ism and [BeMyGhost] in the way it is presented, an art project that consists by three different main levels:
1. herStay PERFORMANCE:
The performance [BeMyGhost] was presented at the international ISFIT-festival in collaboration with NTNU at Avant Garden in Trondheim, opening 14th of March 2003.
2. herStay NET-ART:
The work in process net-artwork ww.withorwithout.ism www.bemyghost.net, launched 14.March 2003 as the performance premiere, hosted at www.herStay.net.
3. herStay FILM:
The film [BeMyGhost], with release in 2005."
