Døren* (The Door)

In Døren* (The Door) by Teater Joker the two clowns struggle with approaching each other, in continuous dialogue with the audience. This production is 100 % dependant of the audience’s will to tell Zazza and Storko what to do.

Døren is directed by Mario Gonzalez, one of the most well-known clownery directors in Europe today. He teaches at the Conservatoire National Superieur d’Art Dramatique in Paris and instructs on the performing arts college of Malmø every year. Mario Gonzalez works in many countries in and outside Europe. He took part in the first performances by Theatre de Soleil in Paris. In Sweden he is well-established and stands behind many productions, such as Comedia and Clowner by Projekt Commedia, Varldens sorgligste historia* (The Saddest Story in the World) by Teater Bopha and Don Juan by Skillingsteatern, plus many of the performances by Expressteatern.

Døren is a production which has been developed in separate periods of time over a long time. After the last working period with Mario Gonzalez, Døren has yet again been changed into a production with his distinct clownery technique.
