Beings of a lesser kind by Ellen Johanessen is built over the story of the little match girl. The production shows a disintegrating person, while this person keeps wondering who rules reality.
Ellen Johanessen also discusses how we treat our bodies, how suffering is fashion and romanticised, and how the human in a condition of hunger, loneliness and self-harm also longs for the religious and for ecstatic experiences.
