Historien om Peronnik* (The Story of Peronnik)

With Historien om Peronnik* (The story of Peronnik) Stella Polaris made a performance in which the audience followed Peronnik on his way to the grail. The performance was a mix of commedia dell’arte and the language of cartoons. A modern storytelling technique, with comical dolls, shadow play, magical tricks and real Stella Polaris jester skills.

Historien om Peronnik* (The story of Peronnik) by Stella Polaris revolved around the simple poor boy Peronnik, embarking on a travel searching for the big treasure. Along the way he meets dwarfs, lions, dragons, giants and beautiful women. Where brave knights have failed, Peronnik manage doing his naïve little tricks. After surpassing all dangers he arrives to the castle of Kerglas and the wizard Roger guarding the treasure. Peronnik tricks Roger into eating a magical apple. Then he uses a laughing flower to find the treasure. This way the idiot Peronnik finds the huge treasure giving him unknown powers. He wins the whole of the kingdom Bretagne.

"Peronnik" is a legend of the grail from Bretagne, in which Peronnik is a lucky knight of the Middle Ages. Still there are made books about him, published all over the world.

Historien om Peronnik* (The story of Peronnik) was suitable for multicultural forums, the early school years (first to fifth grade) and open performances (all ages).
