More

The sound image of Petals and Tales by Panta Rei Dance Theatre was composed especially for the production, consisting of music and text excerpts from familiar fairytales and poems. The movements were acrobatic and the choreography narrative. Flower pots danced, the troll burst and petals eventually covered the whole stage.

Petals and Tales toured orphanages in Lithuania in 2002:

"Impressive! It was like sitting in a meadow surrounded by murmuring trees and watching the two performers playing this sort of secret game. It looked like two children who had to share with their emotions, inner feelings, thoughts and fantasies. The performance holds your attention until the very end. A very nice, beautiful story told in such a brilliant way", Marius Kaminskas, sponsor for Smiltele Orphanage, Lithuania, said.

In 2003 Petals and Tales went on tour to English schools:

"It is so very good to see a contemporary dance company perform work not usually seen in England at the moment, in terms of the performance quality and communication with the audience -drawing them in not shutting them out. In all my years of lecturing this is the best educational package I have ever seen", said Anna Carlisle, freelance lecturer at Laban Centre London and Lewes Tertiary College, England.

The production visited Lithuania, England, Norway and Sweden 2002-2005. Approximately 25 000 spectators watched it.
