From a Hanging Line

From a hanging line was a dance production by Solveig Leinan-Hermo. The coastal society made up the frame for the choreography From a hanging line in which fish and sea were central ingredients. Respect for the fishing industry and coastal society inspired Leinan-Hermo to make yet another production from her own childhood surroundings.

More

In the dance production From a hanging line by Solveig Leinan-Hermo the audience got a visual context through dance and movement, word and music, in which a multitude of moods met, in a wandering from an origin until today. Central were the human and the fish as part of a business fundament, one that should be able to secure living and culture along the coast.

Endangered Regions was a pre-production for From a hanging line. Endangered Regions was with From a hanging line part of a trilogy consisting of the performance Where the mainland floats (part one) and Dankert Anna (work title - part 3). From a hanging line also exists in a short version used during conferences and festivals.

The production was supported by Arts Council Norway, the county of Finnmark and The Northern Norwegian Arts Council.
