In the info leaflet METTE EDVARDSEN >PROJECTS 2002-2010 the following is written about Easy pieces:
"This work was proposed in the form of a workshop for the context of the festival Dansand! at the beach of Ostend. During the four days of the festival the participants/performers worked together exploring simple game structures, task and scores. The participants played out some of these 'pieces' at various locations at the beach, exploring the spatial relations given by the environment. We created a performance score working on distance and visibility using semaphore movements. The whole beach line between two wave breakers was the 'stage' and distributed 6 performers on some hundred meters along the horizon."
