WeFiction & Private Rite by Panta Rei Dance Theatre invited the audience into a world in which three dancers in dialogue with each other and their surroundings examined identity.
WeFiction was a choreography growing forth in close collaboration with the dancers. Newly created tunes with inspiration from traditional Norwegian folk music came from England through the especially composed music by Nathaniel Reed. In the production the audience met three dancers who used themselves and memories from their own lives in the choreography Anne Holck Ekenes and Pia Holden.
Private Rite was choreographed by Canadian Hélène Blackburn. She made a strict, but humorous performance. The audience members were taken along on a journey into the daily rituals of the dancers, an eternal search for the perfect performance.
WeFiction & Private Rite by Panta Rei Dance Theatre was supported by Arts Council Norway, The Fund for Performing Artists and the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts and grant for cultural exchange with Southern countries/performing arts).
