The Man and the Moon by Dekkoart is a small, understated puppetry performance. We meet a man with a big dream. The man is named Igor and his dream is to one day be able to glide across the surface of the moon, waving to Earth.
In The Man and the Moon we follow Igor through several attempts while he gradually fights his way closer to his big dream. He tries many unorthodox methods to reach his aim, but one attempt after the other fails totally. He doesn’t care about gravity or what others would mean is impossible. He is convinced that the impossible is only impossible if one starts to doubt. Only yourself can make your dream come real, no one else.
The Man and the Moon is about preserving the dream one carries. About not to stop when the world goes against you, but continue to work for what you think is important in your life, even though it demands more and perhaps something else from you than you expected.
