Characters are starting to disappear from the books in the library and the audience was invited to participate in solving this mystery. Why are they disappearing? How can we get them back?

Among others the audience met a pilot mourning lost love, a naughty band girl, a mermaid longing back to the ocean and a wing-clipped girl eventually leading to the solution of the mystery.

Usynlig by Katma was a site-specific performance, originally created for the library of Tromsø the autumn of 2009.

Usynlig by Katma was supported by Arts Council Norway, The Cultural Rucksack, The Audiovisual Fund and The Fund for Performing Artists in Norway.

Press coverage

"Most profoundly, the wish to confirm that children are complex, unique individuals may be regarded as the motor of Strøm’s scenic work. In Usynlig, this manifests in the fact that the children are allowed to aid. The children solve the mystery without adults intervening." Elin Danielsen. Kunstløftet.
