A Doll's House
A Doll's House was produced by Visjoner Teater in 2006, based by the play by Henrik Ibsen and a production idea by Juni Dahr.
The production was performed "in the home of" Nora and Torvald in their second floor apartment in the apartment building of Wesselsgate 15, rebuilt in Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum).
Tonje Gotschalksen directed it.
Only 30 spectators could follow the performance every night. The production has been performed approximately 150 times in Norway and abroad.

Visjoner Teater implemented a theatre experiment in 2006: To perform A Doll's House in a real apartment. The actors and the audience alike are challenged to meet Henrik Ibsen’s text anew in new surroundings outside the theatre venue. How do we experience A Doll's House today, if being in Nora's home, witnessing her marriage and dream of love dissolve?
What is love? What is a lie? What is true and honest life together? Henrik Ibsen's text goes deep into what it means to be human, to make free choices and to be responsible for one's own life. How two persons on equal footing are to love and respect each other is a question of as much interest today as it was 120 years ago.
A Doll's House was performed in the apartment of Nora and Torvald Helmer, in the apartment building of Wesselsgate 15, which is rebuilt in Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum).
Juni Dahr and instructor Tonje Gotschalksen have processed the text for five actors.
2006: Opening night and 70 performances in Oslo, Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum).
2008: A Doll's House performed in Oslo and in an apartment in Söder in Stockholm called Stigbergets Borgarrum during Stockholm’s Culture Festival.
2009: Performed in Waldemarhøy in Ski, the farm Åmot gård near Førde, Janowice Palace outside Krakow in Poland.
2010: Performed during Ibsen Awards in Venstøp outside Skien.
