Nina
The monologue Nina by and with Eva Dons, produced by Fabula, was a development of the scenic composition Nina. It had its world wide premiere during the festival Vinterlys (literally: Winter Lights) in 2011.
The music was adjusted for acoustic instruments and song. Included in it was flamenco, song from theatre, poetic singer-songwriter song, songs by Chaplin and other not as familiar musical pieces.

The theme in Nina by Eva Dons/Fabula was the relationship between freedom and dream. With inspiration from and foundation in The Seagull by Anton Chekhov Dons dealt with the topic "To live one’s dream, to become an artist." Eva Dons tells the story about a woman’s dream to work with theatre and everything she has to forgo on her way.
The play of Chekhov uses many symbols, and The Seagull becomes a symbol of the one who dares to be different.
