The Barents tour by Stellaris Dance Theatre started in September 2007. Barentsforestilling* (Barents performance) introduced a new, international collaboration between choreographers and dance artists from the Barents Region. Barentsforestilling gave a glimpse of the magnificent nature of Northern Norway, the strong traditions of Russia, the spontaneity of Finland and the young guts of Sweden. That way, Stellaris Dance Theatre and Barentsforestilling aimed to give the audience a journey around Barents during one single night.
The program and the number of choreographies were adjusted to different venues. In Russia local companies participated in the production.
