More

Freelanceteateret has its origin from Sydvest'n Teater, an amateur group run since 1993. In 2004 the amateur based part of the theatre and Freelanceteatret was established as a professional company. The company has no staff beyond the artistic and general manager, but attaches freelancers on a per production basis.

Freelanceteateret has worked with Vinskvetten, Jon Eikemo and Bjørn Jensen (Skåta Jon, der ligg ei appelsina å flyt), Krabatene, Tannlegerevyen and Ole Bull Teater (Run for your wife* by Ray Cooney) among others. The company hires freelance actors and other collaborators when needed.
