Birgit Cullberg led The Cullberg Ballet until 1985, when her son Mats Ek took over the management. Since then The Cullberg Ballet has been led by Carolyn Carlson (1993-1995), Lena Wennergren-Juras and Margareta Lidström (in collaboration, 1995-2003), Johan Inger (2003-2008), Anna Grip (2008-August 2013).
After Grip left an artistic council of Monica Fredriksson, Jane Hopper, Lisa Drake and Thomas Zamolo will lead the company until the change of year 2013/2014.
