Winners
  • Vegard Vinge/Ida Müller

"Danse- og teatersentrums scenekunstpris (The Performing Arts Award of The Norwegian Association for Performing Arts/NAPA) for 2009 is awarded to Vegard Vinge and Ida Müller for their production of Henrik Ibsen's The Wild Duck.

The Norwegian Association for Performing Arts/NAPA emphasises Vinge and Müller's uncompromised will to drill deep into Henrik Ibsen's text and to break boundaries in the art of theatre. The expression innovatively illuminates Ibsen's work and invites to find new connections between Ibsen's work and our own time. The scenic strategy of Vinge/Müller opens for a theatricality liberating the work from the claw of classicism. The production's composition creates a meaning of time, and forces forth a kind of dramaturgy opening for brand new communication with the audience. Rapidly Vinge/Müller have created Ibsen works of international class of its own."
