Anne Marit Jacobsen

Anne Marit Jacobsen (born November 7 1946) is a Norwegian actress, known from theatre, revues, TV and film. Her breakthrough came when she played the role of Hedvig in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation's production of Ibsen's The Wild Duck in 1970.

Anne Marit Jacobsen was educated at The National Academy of Theatre and made her debut at The National Theatre in 1969, as Rikke in Narren og hans hertug* (The Fool and His Duke), written by Stein Mehren.

*Not yet translated into English. The title within parentheses is the Norwegian title's literal meaning.

Anne Marit Jacobsenwas nominated for The Hedda Award 2003 in the particularly excellent performance category for the role of Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest by The National Theatre. In 1997 she received The Per Aabel Honorary Award (Per Aabels Ærespris).
