David Auburn
David Auburn (born November 30 1969) is an American playwright.
He has among other things written Proof), which won The Tony Award in the best play category in 2001, receiving The Pulitzer Prize for drama the same year. The play has later been filmed, and when it had it Norwegian premiere in 2003, translated by Kyrre Haugen Bakke as Bevis, Laila Goody won The Hedda Award in the particularly excellent performance category for the role of Cathrine.
Among David Auburn's other plays are Skyscraper (performed off-Broadway in 1997) and The Columnist (with its world premiere at Broadway in 2012).
