Thea Stabell
Thea Stabell (born July 4 1939) is a Norwegian actress and director. In 2006 she was named professor in acting at Oslo National Academy of the Arts (The Faculty of Performing Arts).

Thea Stabell made her debut as an actress in 1963 at Oslo Nye Teater (Oslo New Theatre), where she was employed 1964–67. She worked for Trøndelag Theatre from 1967 to 1970, and has been a freelancer since then, mostly working as a director.
Among the characters she has given life to are the title roles of The Diary of Anne Frank, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and Yvonne by Witold Gombrowitz.
Of the plays she has directed one may mention Ballerina by Arne Skouen, Two Acts for Five Women by Bjørg Vik, by P. W. Cappelen Trollspill* (Troll's Play) as well as Manndattera og kjerringdattera* (The Husband's Daughter and the Wife's daughter), Frost Flower by Terje Nordby and Robin Glendinning's Donny Boy.
Thea Stabell directed Babette's Feast for Hålogaland Theatre in 1999. The production was nominated for The Hedda Award 1999 in the best production category.
