Candid Candle by Inclusive Dance Company asks how it is to have a work life demanding new decisions regarding life and death every single day. How do patients and health professionals want to meet in their relation, built around care? In healthcare one regularly has to prioritise between human needs and economic priorities. The production is a meeting between three dance artists and two nurses. Candid Candle is inspired by the female character Florence Nightingale – the lady with the lamp – and is based in a wish to illuminate different sides of the health care sector.

Inclusive Dance Company is a dance company based in Trondheim. Candid Candle is co-produced by FOLK2, a county body in Northern Trøndelag emphasising the meeting points between culture and health.

Candid Candle was supported by Arts Council Norway, The Fund for Performing Artists, FOLK2, the municipality of Levanger, the municipality of Trondheim and the division of The Norwegian Nurses Organisation in the county of Nord-Trøndelag.
