I morgon i Anakronia by Kim Gustafsson, produced by Finlandssvenska Teatern and Åbo Svenska Teater (The Swedish Theatre of Turku) takes us to the small country of Anakronia, where all is well. War rages elsewhere, economy blossoms, people have their stomachs filled and are happy. More or less like here. The president has married the prime minister and has had a daughter who he raises in the spirit of equal opportunities, when he doesn’t take care of his beloved cows. But one day the president’s brother comes to visit and all of a sudden the president is thrown in jail, accused for a terrible crime. The president’s young daughter Nirvana has to escape from her own mother and uncle to avoid meeting the same destiny as her father’s. But she doesn’t know what the father has done, and what is wrong with her, making everybody so afraid. During her escape she meets two strange creatures from the underworld who may have the answers. Can a man do everything a woman can? Is the haircut of the week always more interesting than the pollution of the ocean? Why do people panic when one really listens to what they are saying? And what do the cows know?
