At the website of The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Lykke-Pers klassereise* (Lucky Pehr's class journey):

"Through text and familiar songs from Brecht, Brel and Theodorakis, The Norwegian Theatre's veteran actor Sigve Bøe brings the audience along on a journey through a generation. Many, like Sigve, were born shortly after the war, and can recognise the lucky generation's increased resources and political awakening. In his farewell performance as a steadily employed actor, he includes us in Happy Per's ups and downs, idealism and disappointment, moments of happiness and unhappiness, significant and insignificant episodes shaping his existence.

Some with identify with Happy Per, or know one like him. He is born shortly after the war, under a lucky star, as his mother said. Belonging to the lucky generation, according to his father, or with a silver spoon in his mouth, as they said, those who came into the world a short time before him, and experienced war and famine. When he was young, Happy Per felt no gratitude at all. That he, who came from a so-called ordinary home, was to study at the university, he found obvious. As opposed to the generations before him, he got to experience a standard of living which even the most privileged in earlier times hadn't come close to. Has all this fortune made him happy as a pig in oil, or has it made him - like many privileged before him - miserly, greedy and vain, or is he filled with gratitude, empathy, altruism - even happiness?"
