Maratonfest med nye barnetekster* (The Marathon Party of New Texts for Children) in The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) the autumn of 2007: Guri Glans, Fredrik Hannestad, Charlotte Grundt, Kim Atle Hansen, Kari Ramnefjell, Yngve Marcussen and Haakon Strøm took the youngest audience members into the universes of the new theatre texts in the project Kunst for Barn* (Art for children).

The texts in Maratonfest med nye barnetekster* (The Marathon Party of New Texts for Children) in The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater) was developed in collaboration between The Norwegian Institute for Children’s Literature, stage design students at The Norwegian Theatre Academy in Fredrikstad, and The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater). The plays being presented were:

Tripp - trapp - tre!* (Tic-tac-three) by Grete Randsborg Jenseg
Hanne, Hilde and Hans are playing in the stairs down to the basement. It is the last time all three of them play together.

Sammensvergelsen* (The Conspiracy) by Beate Muri.
Vilde and Johanna hang a large poster in the electricity mast, where everyone can see it.

Glad hver julekveld* (Merry Every Christmas) by Sveinung Lutro.
It is the night before Christmas Eve. Jesper is looking forward to it. But Mom and Dad have other plans.

Snøvenner* (Snow Friends) by Martina Gaux.
The snowman Hermann can’t find his little sister. Why does it have to happen now, when the large Snowman Award is coming up?

Fantastiske Pelis eller ikke Pelis i senga* (Fabulous Pelis or not Pelis in the bed) by Marie Hafting.
Pelis is not in school. Not today either. Pelis is sitting in the bed being fabulous. Today too.

Når alt raser* (When Everything Falls Apart) by Lena Steimler.
Carl wants to include Marion in the secret brother and sisterhood. In the old, dark ruin they get in close contact with the spirits. Or?

Maratonfest med nye barnetekster was part of the project Kunst for barn* (Art for Children), a collaboration project between The Norwegian Institute for Children’s Literature and The Open Theatre (Det Åpne Teater). Kunst for barn was supported by Arts Council Norway.
