A Night's Lodging AKA The Lower Depths

A Night's Lodging AKA The Lower Depths or Na dne (1995) was a theatre production by The Arctic Theatre in collaboration with Murmansk Regional Drama Theatre. The production was based on a play by Maxim Gorky. The production went on tour in Norway and in Russia.

Russian Felix Grigorian directed it.

Norwegian Knut Walle played the role of Luka.

Russian Juri Nozdrin played the role of Satine.

In the production, the Norwegian actors spoke Norwegian and the Russians spoke Russian.

In this production, Gorky's play was performed using the Norwegian title Nattherberget. The same play has also been translated into the Norwegian as Nattasylet and as På bunnen. The Russian title is Na dne.
